The Maxims of Ptahhotep atau Instruksi Ptahhotep adalah sebuah komposisi sastra Mesir kuno yang dikomposisikan oleh wali raja Ptahhotep pada sekitar tahun 2375–2350 SM, pada masa kekuasaan Raja Djedkare Isesi dari Dinasti Kelima.^[1] Teks tersebut ditemukan di Thebes pada 1847 oleh Egiptologis M. Prisse d'Avennes.^[2] Instruksi Ptahhotep dianggap sebagai sastra hikmat didaktik yang masuk genre sebayt.^[3] Terdapat empat salinan Instruksi, dan satu-satunya versi yang lengkap, Papirus Prisse, disimpan di Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris.^[4]
