Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity, atau SMOS, adalah satelit yang merupakan bagian dari Living Planet Programme ESA. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan wawasan baru ke dalam bumi siklus air dan iklim. Selain itu, hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan prakiraan cuaca yang lebih baik dan pemantauan salju dan akumulasi es.
