Alain Bashung (bahasa Prancis:ย [alษฬ baสuล]; nama lahir Alain Claude Baschung, 1 Desember 1947 โ 14 Maret 2009) merupakan penyanyi Prancis, penulis lagu dan pemeran. Dia berjasa dengan menghidupkan kembali chanson Prancis di "saat kekacauan musik Prancis",[1] ia sering dianggap di negara asalnya sebagai musisi rock Prancis terpenting setelah Serge Gainsbourg.[2] Dia mulai tenar pada awal 1980-an dengan lagu-lagu hit seperti "Gaby oh Gaby" dan "Vertige de l'amour", dan kemudian memiliki serangkaian rekaman hit dari tahun 1990-an dan seterusnya, seperti "Osez Josรฉphine", "Ma petite entreprise" dan "La nuit je mens". Dia berpengaruh pada banyak seniman Prancis kemudian, dan merupakan artis yang paling banyak mendapat penghargaan dalam sejarah Victoires de la Musique dengan 12 penghargaan yang diperoleh sepanjang kariernya.
Play blessures (1982), Osez Josรฉphine (1991), dan Fantaisie militaire (1998) Bashung telah membuat banyak daftar album terbaik dalam bahasa Prancis. L'Imprudence (2002) dan Bleu pรฉtrole (2008), dua album studio terakhir yang dirilis selama hidupnya, juga mendapat pujian.[3] Bashung meninggal pada usia 61 tahun setelah dua tahun berjuang melawan kanker paru-paru.
