James Mackenzie Fallows (lahir 2 Agustus 1949) adalah seorang penulis dan jurnalis Amerika.
Ia telah menjadi koresponden nasional untuk The Atlantic Monthly selama beberapa tahun. Karyanya juga muncul dalam Slate, The New York Times Magazine, The New York Review of Books, The New Yorker, The American Prospect dan lain-lain. Ia adalah mantan penyunting U.S. News & World Report, dan sebagai ketua penulis pidato Presiden Jimmy Carter selama dua tahun, menjadikannya orang termuda yang menggeluti pekerjaan tersebut.[2][3]
Fallows menjadi profesor kunjungan di sejumlah universitas di AS dan Tiongkok, dan menyandang jabatan Ketua dalam bidang Media AS di United States Studies Centre, University of Sydney.
