Jay McCarrol (lahir 9 Agustus 1983) adalah seorang komposer, penulis, dan aktor asal Kanada yang paling dikenal sebagai pemeran pendamping, penulis dan komposer dari serial web independen Nirvana the Band the Show, sekuel spiritualnya serial televisi Nirvanna the Band the Show, dan film fitur berdasarkan keduanya, Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie, yang semuanya ia ciptakan bersama dengan pembuat film dan sahabatnya, Matt Johnson.[1]
Di luar franchise Nirvanna, McCarrol dikenal karena karyanya di BlackBerry, serial animasi Matt & Bird Break Loose. Karyanya sebagai komposer meluas ke The Kid Detective karya Evan Morgan, dan Hell of a Summer karya Finn Wolfhard & Billy Bryk. Hingga tahun 2026, ia telah menggubah musik untuk semua film fitur Johnson.
McCarrol dan saudara perempuannya, Stefanie, membentuk duo synth pop bernama Brave Shores pada tahun 2014, dan melakukan tur di Kanada dan internasional. Sebelumnya ia menjabat sebagai direktur musik di lokasi Second City Toronto.[2]
