David Bakewell Burrell CSC (1 Maret 1933 – 1 Oktober 2023) adalah seorang pendidik, teolog, penulis, dan penerjemah Amerika yang merupakan seorang imam dari Kongregasi Salib Suci (Congregation of Holy Cross). Ia adalah Profesor Emeritus Theodore Hesburgh dalam bidang Filsafat dan Teologi di University of Notre Dame, AS. Ia menulis sekitar tiga belas buku tentang agama Yahudi-Kristen dan Islam. Ia menguasai beberapa bahasa; ia menerjemahkan dua buku karya Al-Ghazali dari bahasa Arab ke bahasa Inggris. Ia juga mengajar teologi komparatif, etika, dan pembangunan di Uganda Martyrs University, Nkozi, Uganda; Tangaza College, Nairobi, Kenya; dan Hebrew University, Yerusalem.[1][2] Pada tahun 1960-an, ia terlibat dalam Gerakan Anti-Perang Vietnam.[2] Ia juga menjabat menjadi profesor di Notre Dame University Bangladesh.[3] Burrell meninggal di Notre Dame, Indiana pada 1 Oktober 2023 pada usia 90 tahun.[4]
