Metropolitan Railway (juga dikenal sebagai Met[note 1]) adalah sebuah jalur kereta barang dan penumpang yang melayani London dari 1863 sampai 1933, yang jalur utamanya menghadap barat laut dari jantung keuangan ibu kota tersebut yang kemudian menjadi subperkotaan Middlesex. Jalur pertamanya menghubungkan jalur utama terminal jalur kereta di Paddington, Euston, dan King's Cross.

sunting- ^ Perusahaan tersebut mempromosikan jalur keretanya sendiri dengan sebutan "The Met" dari sekitar tahun 1914.[1] Jalur kereta api tersebut disebut sebagai "the Met" atau "the Metropolitan" dalam catatan-catatan bersejarah seperti Jackson 1986, Simpson 2003, Horne 2003, Green 1987, dan Bruce 1983.
