Ramsay MacMullen (3 Maret 1928 – 28 November 2022) adalah seorang Profesor Emeritus sejarah di Universitas Yale, tempat ia mengajar dari 1967 sampai ia pensiun pada 1993 sebagai Profesor Dunham Sejarah dan Klasik. Pemahaman sarjananya adalah sejarah sosial Roma dan penggantian paganisme oleh Kekristenan.
MacMullen lulus dari Phillips Exeter Academy dan summa cum laude dari Harvard College.
Ketika MacMullen dianugerahi penghargaan prestasi sarjana seumur hidup pada pertemuan tahunan 2001 American Historical Association dengan Award for Scholarly Distinction, dengan sebuah kutipan penghargaan yang menyebutnya "sejarawan Kekaisaran Romawi terbesar yang masih hidup saat ini".[1] Dengan buku-buku baru berpengaruh yang diterbitkan pada 2006 dan 2009 dan 2011 pada usia 78 dan 81 dan 83 tahun, ia masih menjadi penyuara berpengaruh akurasi sejarah dunia Romawi.
MacMullen meninggal dunia pada 28 November 2022, pada usia 94 tahun.[2]
