The Variation of Animals and Plants under Domestication adalah sebuah buku karya Charles Darwin yang pertama kali terbit pada Januari 1868. Sebagian besar isi buku berisi informasi mendetil tentang penjinakan hewan dan tumbuhan selain juga berisi deskripsi teori hereditas menurut Darwin dalam Bab XXVII yang ia sebut pangenesis.
