suntingIni adalah permainan di mana pemain bergerak melalui sebuah labirin sambil berusaha mencapai pintu keluar, terkadang harus menghindari atau melawan musuh. Meskipun menggunakan perspektif 3D, sebagian besar labirin dalam permainan ini memiliki tata letak 2D jika dilihat dari atas. Beberapa permainan labirin sudut pandang orang pertama mengikuti rancangan Pac-Man, tetapi dari sudut pandang berada di dalam labirin.
Permainan labirin sudut pandang orang pertama dibedakan dari RPG berbasis kelompok sudut pandang orang pertama, penjelajahan ruang bawah tanah, penembak orang pertama, dan simulasi berjalan dengan penekanan pada navigasi lingkungan labirin yang sebagian besar bersifat abstrak.
