Throbbing Gristle adalah grup musik dan seni visual Inggris yang dibentuk pada tahun 1975 di Kingston upon Hull oleh Genesis P-Orridge, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Peter Christopherson, dan Chris Carter. Mereka secara luas dianggap sebagai pelopor musik industrial. Berevolusi dari grup seni pertunjukan eksperimental COUM Transmissions, Throbbing Gristle membuat debut publik mereka pada Oktober 1976 di pameran COUM yang bertajuk Prostitution, dan merilis single debut mereka "United/Zyklon B Zombie" dan album debut The Second Annual Report pada tahun berikutnya. Tema liris utama grup musik ini berkisar pada mistisisme, ideologi politik ekstremis, seksualitas, aspek gelap atau bawah tanah masyarakat, dan manipulasi bahasa yang aneh.
